The Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation is offering grants to support projects in breast health and breast cancer education, outreach, screening, treatment, and support within select counties in New York. These counties include Columbia, Dutchess, Greene, Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Sullivan, Westchester, and Ulster. The Foundation, established in 2004, is dedicated to supporting women and families in the Hudson Valley affected by breast cancer. All funds raised by the Foundation are directed specifically to this region.
The grants will fund projects in several key areas such as breast cancer education, outreach to special populations, support programs including complementary medicine, and financial aid for social support and ancillary services. Projects must focus specifically on breast health or breast cancer and must serve individuals in the nine counties served by the Foundation.
To be eligible for funding, applicants must be U.S. nonprofit organizations with federal tax-exempt status. This includes nonprofits, educational institutions, government agencies, and Indian tribes. Equipment costs should not exceed 30% of direct costs and must be used exclusively for the project. Salaries can only be requested for personnel working directly on the project, not for general employee duties. Funds will not be awarded for capital campaigns, nor will they support programs that have received three previous grants for the same program. The application deadline is January 31, 2026.
