The Community Grants Program welcomes applications from nonprofits serving New Hampshire and select bordering communities in Maine and Vermont. Grants range from $10,000 to $100,000, with funding available for up to two years.
This program focuses on advancing equity, racial justice, and economic security. In 2025, special priority is given to organizations addressing essential needs such as health, wellness, safety, and belonging for individuals or families in crisis. Priority efforts include combating hate and discrimination, food security, housing and shelter, legal aid, health care access including behavioral health, early childcare and education, support for people with disabilities, mutual aid, poverty alleviation, trauma survivor support, and nonprofit collaborations.
The grant provides up to $20,000 per year for two years, totaling $40,000. Funds may be used for unrestricted operating support or specific project support.
Eligible applicants serve communities in New Hampshire and select towns in Maine and Vermont. Organizations headquartered outside the service area but providing services in New Hampshire may apply for project grants only, which must be restricted to work in the foundation’s service area.
