UWNCPA is seeking bold, creative solutions that offer a fresh approach to solving local challenges, especially in areas where no other organization or program is currently meeting the need.
Community Impact Priorities
UWNCPA aims to provide investments and capacity-building resources for social sector organizations, programs, and collaborative coalitions that provide direct services, positively influence systemic improvements, and fill identified unmet needs. The 2025-2026 Innovation Grants will prioritize the following Impact Areas.
- Healthy Community: UWNCPA may invest in organizations and strategies that address, but are not limited to, these needs:
- Healthcare Access
- Maternal and child health
- Nutrition and food security
- Healthy spaces and physical activity
- Chronic and infectious disease awareness and prevention
- Mental health support
- Substance misuse recovery and prevention
- Youth Opportunity: UWNCPA may invest in organizations and strategies that provide but are not limited to these services:
- Childcare and early childhood education
- In-school, after-school, and summer learning
- Family engagement
- Literacy development
- College and career readiness
- Financial Security: UWNCPA may invest in organizations and strategies that help individuals and families with but are not limited to these services:
- Community Resiliency: LCUW may invest in organizations and strategies that address urgent needs today for a better tomorrow but are not limited to these services:
- Crisis Hotline and Support
- Emergency preparedness
- Disaster relief and recovery
- Environmental stewardship and sustainability.
Funding Information
Innovation grants will be awarded up to $25,000 per agency.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible applicants must:
- Must submit a Request for Proposal (RFP) and, if selected, a full grant application by established deadlines.
- Serve primarily Lycoming, Sullivan, or Tioga County residents and have full-time physical presence and programming in Lycoming, Sullivan, or Tioga Counties.
- Have a valid 501(c)(3) determination letter, please submit with RFP.
- Register with the State of Pennsylvania, Bureau of Charitable Organizations (as required) and submit status with RFP if applicable.
- Offer programs/activities/services that align with UWNCPA Community Impact priorities and/or serve the ALICE Population.
- Be willing to promote UWNCPA and respond to UWNCPA inquiries or media requests regarding any information reported in proposals or applications, including submitting a final report that will be due at the end of the funding year.
- Be available to attend and accept the Grant Award at the Annual Meeting held on the evening of October 14th.
