Types of Grant
- Traditional Health Worker (THW) Workforce Development and Continuing Education
- These funds will support continuing education and skill-building opportunities for Traditional Health Workers, with a focus on strengthening workforce capacity, expanding knowledge and skills, and enhancing the delivery of culturally responsive, community-based care
- Total available: $25,000
- Social Emotional Learning (SEL)
- These funds will support comprehensive support to ensure each student has equitable access to education and a strong start in life. SEL programs support:
- Evidence- or research-based program implementation supporting or sustaining social emotional learning in schools.
- Continuing education, conferences, or other training relevant to SEL instruction and implementation.
- Programs with goals to increase the number of teachers/behavioral specialists trained in SEL programs, students given access to SEL programs, or classrooms served.
- Total available: $35,000
- These funds will support comprehensive support to ensure each student has equitable access to education and a strong start in life. SEL programs support:

- For Traditional Health Worker Professional Development Funding
- Applicants must be:
- 501(c)3 organizations
- Tribes, or
- Public agencies
- Applicants must be:
- For Social Emotional Learning
- Applicants must be:
- School districts
- Individual schools serving students Pre-K – 12
- Other educational settings
- Applicants must be:
Ineligibility
Funding will not be awarded:
- To individuals or in the form of scholarships.
- For political purposes.
- To disburse subgrants.
- For any non-charitable purposes outside the meaning of Chapter 65 of Oregon Administrative Rules regarding 501(c)3 corporations.
- To organizations with current outstanding contractual items.
- To more than one organization per cycle.
- For healthcare service delivery. Healthcare service delivery includes direct patient care, healthcare provider FTE, services otherwise covered or eligible for coverage under Medicaid (OHP).
- For any services or items covered by the Medicaid (Oregon Health Plan) benefit, including Health Related Social Needs.
