Program Goal and Objectives

Prioritizing officer wellness and strengthening community relationships are critical for the successful implementation of community policing. The Law Enforcement Mental Health and Wellness Act (LEMHWA) program prioritizes wellness by providing resources to law enforcement agencies to support mental health and wellness efforts. • Objective 2: Increase law enforcement agency capacity to implement peer support networks for crisis and non-crisis circumstances.
