The Climate Pledge Arena Community Fund was created to further Climate Pledge Arena, the Seattle Kraken and One Roof Foundation’s shared commitment to fostering an equitable and inclusive community in alignment with the City’s Race and Social Justice Initiative.
Pursuant to Seattle Arena Company’s lease with the City of Seattle, the fund focuses primarily on organizations in and around Seattle Center. The fund shall support youth focused programs and projects that use arts, music and culture as strategies to drive racial equity and social justice.
Funding Information
Total available funding for the 2026 grant cycle is $100,000. Grants will not exceed $10,000.
Eligibility criteria
- 501(c)(3) or non-profit with fiscal sponsor.
- Not represented as a voting member on Giving Council.
- Based in Seattle or primarily serving the Seattle community.
- Pursuant to Seattle Arena Company’s lease with the City of Seattle, the majority of the fund will be directed to organizations whose primary office location is physically located within the Seattle Center neighborhood (including Seattle Center campus, Uptown, Queen Anne, South Lake Union, and Belltown.)
- Political, religious, civic, special interest groups, educational institutions, and third-party funders are not eligible.
- Seattle Center neighborhood (including Seattle Center campus, Uptown, Queen Anne, South Lake
- Union, and Belltown) organizations are eligible to apply for and receive a grant each year.
- Nonprofit organizations in and around Seattle Center who received a grant during last year’s cycle (2025) may reapply this year. Non-Seattle Center organizations who received a grant last cycle, are ineligible this year but may reapply during the 2027 cycle.
- Program/project must:
- With authenticity and intentionality support and serve marginalized youth or youth of color through arts, music, or cultural programming.
