They aim to shine light upon under-represented artists and communities and showcase the cultural diversity that exists in Auburn, and the greater Seattle area. One-time grant funding will be awarded to the strongest applicant proposals for engaging arts and cultural programming or community events at the Postmark Center for the Arts.
The City of Auburn, in cooperation with the Auburn Arts Commission, seeks to invite artists, community groups, or arts organizations to propose ideas for engaging and compelling programs or events at the new art center, with free community benefit! Grants may be used for arts and cultural projects and events that take place at the Postmark Center for the Arts and/or Auburn Arts Alley and serve the general public in Auburn.

Projects must provide FREE public benefit. Examples of public benefit include, but are not limited to:
- Performances
- Celebrations
- Exhibitions
- Workshops
- Screenings
- Readings
- Services that expand access and inclusion to individuals with limited physical or English-speaking abilities.
Funding Information
Generally, the maximum award is $2,000 and the minimum award is $500.
Grant Period
January 1, 2027 – December 31, 2027.
Eligibility Criteria
- Individuals, groups of people (all ages), neighborhood or business organizations seeking funding for an art program or cultural event at the Postmark Center for the Arts
- Independent artists, arts and cultural organizations, including professional and community-based groups
- IRS not-for-profit status 501 (c)(3) is not required.
Ineligibility
- Programs or projects that take place in a location other than the Postmark Center for the Arts
- Programs or projects that do not provide free public benefit
- Scholarships, tuition assistance, or other student support.
- Underwritten project sponsorships, or subsidy of tickets.
- Projects which support religious activities or political organizations.
- Projects that exclusively or primarily benefit the membership of the organization, or those that preclude reasonable access by the general public.
- Organization fundraisers
- City of Auburn staff or members of the Auburn Arts Commission are not eligible to apply.
