Priority Areas
The TAUW Social Innovations Grant is highly competitive; in 2025, TAUW received 80+ applications. For the 2026 cycle, the Committee will prioritize applications that demonstrate:
- Small-to-Mid-Sized Scale: Organizations with annual operating budgets under $2 million.
- Equity Focus: Applications addressing significant inequities or disparities within the proposal’s focus area.
- Commitment to Learning: Applications that articulate what the organization hopes to learn and how those insights may benefit the broader community.
- Representative Leadership: Leadership (staff, board) with lived experience that resonate with the proposed work or clients served
Eligibility Criteria
To apply, organizations must meet the following criteria:
- Status: Be a 501(c)(3) nonprofit or be sponsored by a fiscal agent that has 501(c)(3) status.
- Service Area: Benefit clients within the TAUW service area (Creek, Delaware, Mayes, Okmulgee, Osage, Rogers, Tulsa, and/or Wagoner counties).
- Innovation: Propose a creative solution to a gap, barrier, or challenge. This does not require a brand-new invention; it can be a new approach for your organization or an adapted model that tests how a different method functions for your organization or the Tulsa community.
- Alignment: Address one of TAUW’s four key focus areas: Youth Opportunity, Healthy Community, Financial Security, and Community Resiliency.
