Through a careful review process, The Foundation’s staff and board of directors work together to award grants that improve the lives of people and communities in the Dan River Region. The goal is to match the wishes of the donors with the needs of the community.
The Community Foundation of the Dan River Region will improve and enrich the lives of the region’s residents by encouraging and facilitating donations; by managing, investing and distributing these donations in accordance with donor’s wishes while meeting community needs; and by ensuring these donations create a lasting legacy of growth and opportunity throughout the region.
Eligibility Criteria
The Community Foundation awards grants to nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations and government agencies serving Danville, VA and the counties of Pittsylvania and Halifax, VA; and Caswell County, NC.
