Guidelines
- The Magee Fund will consider several major capital projects each year specifically benefitting Boy Scouts Councils in Massachusetts.
- Such projects will be considered on the basis of demonstrated ability to improve use of the facilities, ability to maintain the facility once completed, comparative need, and collaborative capability with neighboring councils or camps.
- One-time maintenance or replacement projects will be considered, both those of an emergency nature, and those which will increase utilization and/or reduce ongoing maintenance or other operating costs.
- Funding decisions are based on the merits of the projects in the proposal submitted. The level of funding in prior years is not a factor in the decision.
- If more than one project is identified, there should be an indication of priority.
- New requests will not be considered if projects for previous grants are not completed, unless there are extenuating circumstances.
