As part of the award the awardee will be required to bring a mini performance or community interface event to the Ellis-Beauregard Foundation Campus FLEX space within a year of the receipt of the award.
Within the award, the recipient is responsible for all artist fees, travel/transportation to and from Maine, and all production elements. The Choreographer Award is an effort to bolster the field, incubate new ideas, and bring more dance to Maine. At its finest, dance is sublime, expressive, and powerful beyond language. They are thrilled to join the conversation in support of movement-based art.

Eligibility Criteria
- To be eligible for the Choreographer Award, applicants must be U.S. citizens or lawful permanent residents of the United States (i.e., green card holders). They are unable to consider applications from individuals on temporary visa statuses, including but not limited to work visas (H-1B, O-1), student visas (F-1), exchange visitor visas (J-1), or artist visas. They recognize that immigration status can be a complex topic, and they appreciate your understanding of this requirement.
- Applicants must be permanent United States Residents. Applicants must be 18 years of age, and not enrolled in an educational program.
