Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible, students must reside in Southeast Alaska, attend school in Southeast Alaska, and be enrolled in a federally recognized tribe.
Required Documents
To receive a Tribal Backpack, families must submit proof of tribal enrollment and one of the following documents for each child:
- School Enrollment Verification Letter
- Current Class Schedule
- School Registration Confirmation
- Current Report Card (current school year)
- PowerSchool or Parent Portal enrollment printout
- Letter from the school office verifying enrollment
- Most schools can provide:
