ACM Lifting Lives is the philanthropic partner of the Academy of Country Music, dedicated to improving lives through the power of music. Now celebrating its 20th anniversary, ACM Lifting Lives has supported hundreds of organizations using music to heal, connect, and transform communities across the Un ited States.
The 2026 Grant Cycle reflects the deepest commitment: supporting nonprofits delivering innovative, evidence – informed music therapy programs that improve mental, physical, and emotional health outcomes for individuals and communities in need
Priorities
- Clinical Music Therapy
- Programs operating in hospices, hospitals, specialized camps, and similar care-centered environments.
- Therapeutic Interventions
- Music-based programs supporting alternative behavioral approaches in schools or focused community segments such as military members and veterans.
- Industry Mental Health
- Initiatives providing direct therapeutic services to touring professionals, songwriters, and other industry workers facing mental health struggles.

Approximately $5,000 to $20,000.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for a 2026 ACM Lifting Lives grant, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
- Must be a U.S. based 501(c)(3) public charity in good standing with the IRS
- Must have a current IRS determination letter on file
- Must be applying for support of a music therapy or music based therapeutic program
Ineligibility
Music education programs (including instrument instruction, school music programs, and youth
ensembles)
- Fundraising events, galas, or development activities
- Lobbying or political advocacy
- Building, renovation, or capital campaigns
- Endowment contributions
- Debt retirement or loan repayment
- Indirect or overhead costs not directly tied to the proposed program.
