The City of Chico allocates 1% of the Transient Occupancy Tax or “Hotel/Motel Tax” to be earmarked for funding of not-for-profit arts and cultural organizations within the City.
The purpose of the City of Chico Arts and Culture Grant Program is to support Chico Arts Organizations and Artists so that they may make quality arts and cultural work, performances, and exhibitions available and accessible to members of the Chico community.
Funding Information
The minimum award that may be requested is $2,000 and the maximum award is $5,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nonprofit 501c3 arts and cultural organizations
- Operating within the City of Chico
- Two-year history of producing or presenting
- Individual artists are only eligible if applying under the sponsorship of a 501c3 not-for-profit that meets the other elgibility requirements.
