The scholarships are flexible and designed to cover real-life needs like child care, gas, car repairs, rent, and more. Whether you’re earning a degree or training for a skilled trade, they are here to help you succeed in school, in work, and at home.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Residency
    • You live in Arkansas or in Bowie County, Texas.
    • You are a U.S. citizen, legal resident, or DACA recipient.
  • Education
    • You are pursuing a
      • Bachelor’s degree
      • Associate degree
      • Professional license or certificate
  • You are enrolling at a
    • University
    • Community college
    • Trade or vocational school
  • You are taking at least 3 hours of college credit
    • On campus
    • Online
  • You don’t have a bachelor’s degree
  • You have a high school diploma or GED
  • You have a 2.0 GPA
  • Income
    • Applicants must not have a household income of more than 250% of the Federal Poverty
  • Single Parent Status
  • You meet all three parts of the definition of a “single parent”:
  • Marital Status:
    • You are single (never married, divorced, widowed, or legally separated); or
    • You are married but living apart, and your divorce will be final by the time scholarships are awarded.
  • Parenting Status:
    • You have physical custody (50% or more) of at least one dependent child.
    • A dependent child is defined as:
      • Age 18 or younger
      • Older than 18 and still in high school
      • A severely disabled adult living with and dependent on you
  • Living Arrangement:
    • You are the only adult living in the home with your child(ren); or
    • You live with a parent, relative, or roommate who is not your partner, co-parent, or significant other.
