Funding Priorities
Applications will be evaluated based on how strongly the proposed improvement contributes to corridor revitalization. Priority will generally be given in the following order:
- Tier 1 – Permanent Corridor Improvements (Highest Priority)
- Improvements that create long-term visual and structural benefits to the corridor.
- Tier 2 – Semi-Permanent Exterior Improvements & Safety
- Improvements that activate storefronts and improve the visual environment.
- Tier 3 – Corridor Activation Events
- Events may be funded when they help draw customers and activate the corridor.
Funding Information
Corridor Activation Events: Event funding is capped at $500. Events may be combined with other eligible improvements as part of a larger grant request up to the program maximum of $5,000.
Eligibility Criteria
- Businesses must meet the following requirements:
- Located within the designated revitalization corridor
- Maintain an active City of Englewood business license at the time of application and maintain in perpetuity
- Be in good standing with city zoning, sales tax remittance and code requirements
- Auto-Oriented Businesses
- Auto-oriented businesses are eligible to apply; however, grant funding for these businesses is limited to landscaping improvements that bring the property into better alignment with city requirements.
