The Kentucky Social Welfare Foundation is an independent charitable foundation that provides grants to non-profit organizations serving Kentucky residents.
Targeting the grants to rural areas, small towns, and geographic areas of special need, KSWF seeks to promote efficient and effective social welfare organizations and methods for providing “self-help and training.
The Kentucky Social Welfare Foundation (KSWF) was established in 1948 to improve the quality of life and opportunity among Kentuckians who experience diminished economic opportunities, whether due to poverty, poor health, disability, or inequality.
KSWF fulfills this purpose through monetary grants to established non-profit organizations that will:
- enlarge and broaden their scope of operation
- develop and implement “new projects to provide services which no agency, already in operation, is planned or equipped to extend.
Eligibility Criteria
Agency must be approved by the IRS as a tax-exempt charitable organization and you must supply us with a copy of your 501(c)(3) determination letter. KSWF ONLY funds applications from agencies located in Kentucky.
