The David M. Brooks Music Fund supports music education in New Hampshire’s public schools. Brooks, of Bedford, was a U.S. Army veteran who had worked in the printing industry — and who loved music. He left a bequest in his will to create the fund in perpetuity for the teaching of light classical music and voice in New Hampshire primary and secondary schools.

- Preference will be given to activities that reflect Mr. Brooks’ passion for light classical music examples of which include the waltzes of Johann Strauss, the works of Gilbert and Sullivan, the symphony and operettas.
