The Rapp Family Foundation is a non-profit organization that was established in 1990 by Howard and Peg Rapp for the sole benefit of helping non-profit organizations in the Bitterroot Valley. They, along with Thomas Brader, designed a foundation to benefit those non-profit organizations that might need a little extra help to carry out their mission, it has expanded into gifting to organizations working together to make a difference in their local communities.
The Rapp Family Foundation was formed in late 1990 to receive and maintain funds to use exclusively for qualified organizations that provide: non-sectarian religious activities, charitable, educational and scientific purposes within Ravalli County.

The Regular Quarterly Grant has a maximum of $5,000.
Eligibility Criteria
All organizations that have an IRS 501(C)3 letter qualify. Churches are automatically considered 501(c)3 charities, as long as they meet the criteria required by the IRS, and continually adhere to 501(c)3 requirements. Public Schools, tax-exempt status under 501(c)3 is not required in order for such organizations to qualify for private foundation grants. Government entities are also eligible to apply.
