Priority is given to projects that demonstrate clear community impact, respond to local needs, and may not otherwise receive funding through traditional sources. Additionally, strong consideration is given to creative and innovative opportunities that improve education at all levels.
Grant funding may be requested for projects, programs, and initiatives that enhance the quality of life in the community. Priority areas include, but are not limited to: Education, Arts and culture, Community development, Health and wellness, Recreation, and Youth development.
Strong funding consideration will be given to projects that improve access to educational opportunities at all levels, including early childhood, K-12, higher education, workforce development, lifelong learning, and informal educational experiences.

Evaluation Criteria
Applications will be evaluated based on the extent to which they:
- Demonstrate a clear benefit to residents of the Town and/or Village of Potsdam
- Address a documented community need or opportunity
- Leverage additional financial or community support
- Demonstrate organizational readiness and the capacity to successfully complete the proposed work
- Create lasting community benefit beyond the grant period
- Encourage collaboration among community partners
